At The Emerson Lily Free School, children and adults come together as a cooperative community of learners.  Students determine their individual curriculum. Students and staff have an equal part in the Consensus decision-making process and share in the responsibilities of the school.  All decisions are made together at the school meeting.  Conflict resolution is nurtured by coaching in empathetic communication, peer mediation, and the support of the school meeting. 

We, at the Emerson Lily Free School, are ecologically conscious and we manage our levels of consumption and waste.   We promote cooperativism and resource sharing.
